Heather is a dedicated ESOL teacher who is passionate about helping students gain confidence in English and achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.
Heather has taught English to learners from a wide range of backgrounds, supporting students at different stages of their language-learning journey. She enjoys creating a welcoming and supportive classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and developing their communication skills. Her lessons focus on practical English, real-life communication, and building confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in TESOL and Education from the University of Auckland and a Master’s degree in Translation with Business Interpreting from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. Having lived, studied, and worked across different countries and cultures, she understands the challenges and rewards of learning and using English in a new environment.
Alongside teaching, Heather works as a professional interpreter and translator. This experience has deepened her appreciation of language, culture, and the importance of clear communication. Outside the classroom, Heather enjoys spending time at home with a good book or movie. She is a fan of detective fiction and horror films, and loves exploring stories that spark curiosity and imagination.
